Menace Unbeaten Streak Ends at 8
The Caledonia Menace have been playing some good hockey lately but their unbeaten streak ended at 8 with a 3-1 loss to Caledonia 3. After tying Cayuga 0-0 in a hard fought battle on Thursday night, the Menace were able to hold on to a 3-2 victory over Glanbrook on Friday night.
Justin Ouwehand scored in the first period by following up on a Silas Johnson deke. Shane Williams also got an assist on the goal. Glanbrook tied it up in the second but then Silas Johnson scored 2 goals on the same shift late in the third to seal the win. Remey Hetram had two assists and Justin Ouwehand also got an assist. The Menace then had to face Caledonia 3 on Sunday night. The Menace played very well and carried a lot of the play but the Caledonia 3 goalie kept the puck out most of the night. Caledonia 3 scored in the first period and it remained 1-0 until the third period when Jakob Burton-Smith finally was able to get one by their goalie. But late in the game Caledonia 3 took advantage of a turnover and scored to make it 2-1. They then scored again in the empty net. The Menace now don't play again until the New Year.
