St Marys Tournament Champions!!!
Our Midget Ae3 team travelled to St Marys, November 1-3, to participate in their annual Ae tournament. With wins against Huntsville(2-1), Tillsonburg (6-0) and a 2-2 tie with the home team, the Thunder would finish first in their pool and earn a place in the semi-finals. Faced with some fierce competition from the Owen Sound Attack and a short bench, the boys came together and pulled out the win and a trip to the championship. The finals would see the boys play their best hockey yet. After scoring the first two goals, the home team would come back and tie it up. A five minute OT period could not settle the game and forced a shoot out. With the fans on the edge of their seats the boys pulled out the shoot out win. Great Job Thunder!!!
