Red Dragons Pull Out Thrilling Win in OT
The most - improved team in the league came out victorious on Thursday night in front of a capacity, rowdy crowd.

Teams were pretty evenly matched throughout most of the game, with few good scoring opportunities. A lot of neutral-zone play led to a very low-scoring contest until a fantastic pass from Adriano Coco set up a one-timer from Aaron Oppertshauser that screamed past the goalie to put the Red Dragons up 1-0. Mere seconds later the score was equalized at 1-1.  The Red Dragons fought hard to keep the game tied and force the overtime period. Offensive pressure was maintained by some gritty, tireless play from Ethan Ferreira and Drew Pardy. Then, the tides turned in one final play - Kyle Arnold was tripped while on a breakaway, which led to a penalty shot. While the parents were concerned with the pressure on the young kids involved - Kyle as the shooter and the A3 goalie - Kyle alleviated the worry by waving to the crowd before he took off. A few quality deke moves, and he put the puck past the goalie for the sudden-death win. The crowd went wild, the players celebrated with reckless abandon, the night ended as it should - victory for the Red Dragons!

Red Dragons are next in action in the "B" Championship game, Saturday, March 29 at 10:30 in Glanbrook. Go Red Dragons - bring home the cup!
