Jackets Hold On for Win
The Caledonia Yellow Jackets continued their impressive play as of late with a 3-2 win over Cayuga.
The Jackets opened the scoring on a beautiful goal by Brenhyn Gavey who took a break out pass from Ethan Ferreira and then skated the length of the ice before depositing the puck into the top corner. Shane Williams then scored his first goal of the year when he took a pass from Isaak Fisher and let a hard slap shot go from the point which beat the Cayuga goalie on the blocker side. Ethan Ferreira then gave the Jackets a three goal lead in the second period when he took a pass in front of the net from Reuben Hill and put it into the back of the net. In the third period, Cayuga fought back with two goals of their own but some key saves by Chris Chmiel and a couple of great defensive plays by Tyler Dinya and Silas Johnson helped the Jackets hold on for the win.
