Defense Shine in 2-1 Thunder Victory
The Caledonia Thunder defense continue to improve and impress under the direction of coach Andy Williams.

They demonstrated great poise, puck control, positioning and puck movement Sunday night in the Thunder's 2-1 win over Ingersoll. From start to finish the Thunder defense held the line, reversed the puck, and hit the open man showing that they are now probably one of the best groups of defense in the entire league. The Thunder forwards did their part too passing well, cycling the puck, and taking open shots but they had a hard time getting the puck by the Ingersoll goalie. Zach Ebert continued to shine as the team's leading goal scorer beating the opposing goalie twice. His first was late in the second period when he gathered a rebound and put it into the open net. Kyle Arnold and Tristan Walkinshaw both got assists on the play. Ebert then got his second goal early in the third period on a nice pass from Macgregor Lawrence. Tristan Walkinshaw also got an assist. Ingersoll scored a late goal but then the Thunder shut their opponent's down not allowing a shot on goal the rest of the way. Shane Williams was given the player of the game award for his outstanding, head's up play. Next game is Wednesday back at the HCCC as the Thunder try to wrap up the series at home.
