Peewee LL#2 Brings Home Gold in Lincoln
Last weekend, the Caledonia Thunder "Kings" played in the 20th Annual Lincoln Blades Peewee Tournament at the Fleming Centre in Beamsville.

The Kings faced some tough competition all weekend playing teams from Waterloo, Hespeler, and Lincoln.  The team played with toughness, grit and determination to qualify for the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.  Falling behind 3-1 after two periods of play in the semis, Coach Mark gave a motivational speech that sounded like it came right out of the movie "Independence Day".  The team responded in the third period by scoring 3 goals and winning the game 4-3 over the host Lincoln Blades.  The team carried this momentum into the finals beating the other Lincoln Blades team 2-1 to claim the championship.  Teamwork, perseverance, and hard work were all contributing factors to the tournament victory.  The Kings were awesome representatives of Caledonia and the coaching staff was extremely proud of their play.  A big thank you to our amazing parents and SUPERFAN Joey for their encouragement throughout the weekend.  Way to go Kings!!!

The Kings hope to continue their winning ways this weekend when they face Glanbrook in their local league semi-final.  Go Kings Go!
