Caledonia Hornets Still Going Strong
The newly named "Caledonia Hornets" are continuing their winning spree with another two wins last weekend, and an additional two this weekend!  Amazing teamwork, and great defense have led to our success.

Saturday mornings apparently agree with the Hornets.  Hagersville payed us a visit, and we certainly "protected this house".  Cameron Warren started off the first period strong with two goals, both assists credited to Silas Johnson.  Connor Lagan continued the trend in the second period scoring the Hornets only goal, assisted by Mason Hill.  The third period the Hornets were on fire!  Two goals scored by the hard-shooting Silas Johnson, assisted  by Peyton Comeau and Cameron Warren.  Michael Paine came through with a great unassisted goal, as well as an amazing goal off the stick of Mason Hill! Kayden Miedema was another goal scorer assisted by a great pass from Connor Lagan.
The Hornets played a great defensive game, allowing only 3 shots on net, all saved by goaltender Mason Lalonde, allowing him his first shutout of the season. The end result was a score of 8-0 for the Caledonia Hornets. Player of yesterdays game was awarded to Mason Hill, very well deserved.  Last weekends player of the games were Sean McNiven and Cameron Warren, good job boys.

To end off our weekend the boys played a hard fought game against a fellow Caledonia team, PW 2.  The Hornets came out strong with the first goal late in the first period from #8, Mason Hill, with a pass from Connor Lagan. The second period put the Hornets up by another three goals, the first by Cameron Warren, assisted by Silas Johnson, the second unassisted from Silas Johnson, and the final goal for the Hornets from our goal starter of the evening, Mason Hill, assisted by a pass from Kayden Miedema.  The PW 2 team scored in the second period, making the final score 4-1 for the Hornets.
Our players of the game for this afternoon were awarded to Brent Baldwin and Peyton Comeau for their strong defense and spectacular passing throughout the game.

The Caledonia Hornets continue to play as a team each and every game and play hard!  Continue the good work players (as well as coaches).  Our next practice is Wednesday, November 18 at 5:00 p.m.
As a side note, all goal scoring information provided is as per the official game sheets.
