Blue Devils Continue the Win Streak!
The Blue Devils have found their offensive press as they move closer and closer to the playoffs!

In their first encounter with Hagersville 9 last Thursday night, the Blue Devils emerged with a very convincing victory. Scoring started late in the 1st with a Jakob Kubisch shot (assisted by linemate Ethan Ferreira). Midway through the 2nd period Ty Mac found the back of the net, unassisted, to put the Blue Devils up by 2. Thiry seconds later Ethan Ferreira scored his own goal, paid back with a pass from linemate Jakob Kubisch. Just two minutes later Owen Clarke scored (assisted by Chase Peart and Drew Pardy), and two minutes after that he scored again (assisted by Mason Allemang). The Blue Devils entered the 3rd period up by a score of 5-0. The Hawks were intent on robbing Blue Devils netminder of a shutout, and managed to get on the board early in the 3rd, but that was all they could muster. The Blue Devils left the building with a commanding 5-1 victory, and entered their Sunday afternoon contest with a lot of offensive confidence.

They met the Hagersville 9 team once again on Sunday, and the outcome for this game was not much different.  Jakob Kubisch scored early in the 1st period from a fantastic pass from, you guessed it, Ethan Ferreira. Early in the 2nd period Owen Clarke slipped one past the Hagersville goalie assisted by.....Ferreira once again! Owen then scored midway through the 2nd (assisted by Drew Pardy and Chase Peart), and then once more late in the 2nd to complete his hattrick in one period (assisted this time by Tyler Dinya). Many a proud Blue Devil fan needed to be physically restrained from delaying the game and tossing their hats onto the ice. Late in the 3rd period on a power play opportunity, Clarke completed his scoring tsunami and added his fourth of the contest....of note - fantastic pursuit by Ty Mac, supporting the streaking Clarke all the way up the ice.

This was a fantastic defensive effort by the Blue Devils, and the defensive core of Dinya, Hine, Pain and Allemang helped goalie Jakob Bruton-Smith achieve a well-deserved shut out. The Blue Devils emerged with a 5-0 victory and head into the final two games of the regular season in a fantastic and powerful position.

The Blue Devils are next in action on Friday night against Stoney Creek 10 (game time is 8pm at HCCC), and finish out the regular season against the #1 PW3 team, Sunday at 5pm. Go Blue!
