Swarm B Pool Champs!!!!
Well, heck of a way to end the season!!!
The boys came together to win the two most important games of the year and played a team with great spirit and grit. We beat LL Bantam 1, the Blues, 1-0 with Kieran Lagan scoring the winner with only 12 seconds to go in the game to make the B Pool finals. It was a great game, a real nailbiter!!!
The final game versus Hagersville was going to be a real challenge considering the boys had not beat them all year long. Hagersville opened the scoring and took a 1-0 lead. With Sasha Bush in the box for 2-two minute penalties, first Nate Snyder put the pressure on while killing the penalty and scored shorthanded to tie the game. Not much longer after that, Peyton Comeau jumped into the offensive zone to score another shorthanded goal to put the Swarm up 2-1. Hagersville responded to tie at the game at 2.
The boys did not get down on themselves and continued to play with grit and tenacity and Michael Paine scored the game winner with not much time left on the clock.
Heck of a way to finish the season boys. The coaching staff are super proud of the way we finished our season.
