Menace Finish Hagersville Tournament with a Loss
In their last game at the Hagersville Tournament, the Caledonia Menace faced the Pelham Panthers. The Menace came out playing great hockey and quickly took a 1-0 lead when Aaron Oppertshauser's shot from in front of the net beat the opposing goalie. Kayden Miedema got an assist on the goal.

Late in the period Pelham tied it up and then they scored again early in the second period to make it 2-1. But the Menace continued to battle and Justin Ouwehand got his second of the tournament when he took a pass from Silas Johnson and beat the goalie with a great shot to make it 2-2 going into the third. Unfortunately, the game became more and more physical as the referees let the two teams battle it out and the Menace struggled to stay focused on playing good hockey. Then, early in the third, Pelham took advantage of an errant pass and scored to make it 3-2. The Menace worked and battled hard but could not regain the form they had early in the game and, despite a few chances to tie it up, were unable to do so. It was a good learning experience for the guys and the team looks forward to their next game against Caledonia 1 on Wednesday.
