Thunder Go 1-1 on the Weekend
While the first game of the weekend didn't go according to plan, the U11 Thunder rebounded on Sunday to bring their overall record to 3-2.

On Saturday, November 5, U11 Team 1 hosted Glanbrook Orange.  The Thunder kept the game close through 2 periods of play, trailing only 3-0 to a high-powered Rangers offence, thanks in large part to multiple saves by goaltender Jaxon C.  Unfortunately, Glanbrook's offence was too much for the Thunder to handle in the 3rd period, as Caledonia fell by a score of 10-1.  Caledonia's lone goal was an excellent deflection at the front of the net by Fletcher F off of a strong play and shot from the point by Drew G.
On Sunday, November 5, Caledonia looked to respond by travelling to Glanbrook to take on Glanbrook Grey.  Caledonia opened the scoring with a goal by Fletcher F, before Glanbrook came back to score 2 before the end of the period.  At that point, Caledonia's defence of Noah K, James G, Nate C, and Teddy B, and a couple key saves by goalie Davin S, shut down the Glanbrook offence for the rest of the game.
Caledonia went on the offensive in the 2nd period, with Zach A, Drew G, and Chase W (assist by James G), all scoring to make the score 4-2 at the second intermission.  In the 3rd, strong play by centres Blake L and Violet E (1 assist) led to goals by James G and Zach A to leave the final score 6-2 for the Thunder.
Caledonia will take on Glanbrook Grey once again this coming weekend, as well as a game Sunday against Cayuga.
