The Caledonia Atom AE team celebrated their first tournament victory of the year with a stunning come from behind victory over a very tough Lincoln Blades team.
The Lincoln Blades came out flying opening up an early 2-0 lead over Caledonia. The boys from Caledonia kept fighting and mid-way through the second period they were rewarded with a goal from Jacob Hozjan from Tyler Misner.
Then mid-way through the third Harrison Pickering won a clean face off to Ethan Letendre who fired an absolute rocket passed the Lincoln goaltender who had no chance on the play. Finally, late in the third Jacob Hozjan picked up a loose puck in-front and deposited it to put Caledonia in the lead for good with an assist going to Harrison Pickering. Tyler Misner added an empty net goal to make the final 4-2!
Nolan D'Angela played an outstanding game for Caledonia between the pipes and was named the player of the game.
What a team effort!!!!!! Everyone played a big role in the win and the boys should be very proud of themselves for not giving up when they fell behind.
