Thunder fall 1-0 to Tornadoes
The Caledonia Thunder traveled again to Tillsonburg for the second time in less than a week. This time the Thunder didn't fare as well.
Tillsonburg was aggressive and put pressure on the puck and trapped very well along the boards all night. They created some very good scoring opportunities in the first period but Lucas Dos Santos was outstanding making some great saves as he continues to show tremendous improvement in goal. The score at the end of the first was still 0-0. Both teams continued to trade good scoring opportunities in the second but both goalies were up to the challenge. Late in the second, some miscommunication led to a Thunder turnover and the Tornadoes took advantage scoring the only goal of the game on the resulting 2 on 1. The Thunder had more chances in the third, the best one coming on a great deke by Zach Ebert but the puck hit the post. It was only the second loss of the regular season for the Thunder. Next game is at home Thursday Dec. 17 against Ingersoll.
