Team Burgundee Offense Starting To Click
Team Burgundee has been working hard to improve their passing and positioning and it is finally starting to pay off which was evident in their 4-2 win over Caledonia 1.
Connor Dufour opened the scoring with a wrap around goal early in the first period but Caledonia 1 responded shortly after and the score after one period was 1-1. Caledonia 1 took the 2-1 lead early in the second period and Team Burgundee was faced with killing off back to back penalties which they did successfully. Then the Team Burgundee offense began to click. Connor Dufour made a great pass to Logan Holmes late in the period and Holmes rifled it into the net to leave the score tied 2-2 after two periods. The offence continued to work hard, controlling the puck and creating numerous scoring opportunities in the third period. Jordan Guetter took advantage of some open ice and fired a shot into the top corner to make the score 3-2. Aaron Oppertshauser and Nathan May got assists on the goal. Shortly after Dufour scored his second of the game with assists going to Logan Holmes and Oppertshauser. Team Burgundee continued to press but the Caledonia 1 goalie made save after save and the game ended in the 4-2 victory for Team Burgundee. Next game is Tuesday against Cayuga.
