Team Burgundee Finishes Undefeated in Hagersville Tournament
Team Burgundee extended their winning streak to 3 posting a 4-2 win over Dunnville in their last game of the Hagersville tournament.
The team's new forward lines again looked great getting 30 shots on the opposing goal. Aaron Oppertshauser started the scoring off with a great top shelf goal after receiving an excellent pass from Jordan Guetter. A couple of minutes later Josh Audit also ripped a shot into the top of the net from the blue line off a pass from Connor Dufour. In the second period, Dufour scored a goal of his own with a nice wrap around. Evan Regnerus was given an assist on the goal. Late in the period, Logan Holmes showed some good hustle, poise and perseverance scoring a goal that went up and over the goalie from the side of the net. Team Burgundee goalie, Zach Spence, got an assist on the goal for his first point of the year. Team Burgundee showed some fatigue in the third and Dunnville scored two goals to get back into the game but a couple of key saves from Spence helped the team hold on to get the 4-2 win.
