CDMHA and Winegard Ford Partner to Fundraise
Caledonia Thunder Atom Rep team and the Challenge Cup partnered with Winegard Ford dealership of Caledonia to raise funds for their team and the annual tournament.

By participating in Ford’s ‘Drive 4 UR Community’ fundraising program the Caledonia Thunder Atom Rep players and families partnered with the Winegard Ford dealership raised over $3900 for the team and the Caledonia Minor Hockey Association’s annual Challenge Cup Tournament that was held on October Oct 12-15, 2017.

The Challenge Cup tournament is an annual tournament that takes place in Caledonia and surrounding area and hosts over 60 teams across Ontario for Rep (Novice, Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget divisions) and AE (Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget divisions).

The event managed to bring in 197 test drives of new Ford vehicles ranging from the always popular Mustang, Explorer, Edge, Expedition and F150 trucks.  There was $3940 raised for the Atom Rep team and Caledonia Challenge Cup.  The event took place at the Haldimand County Centre in Caledonia between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 14, 2017.

Special thanks to Erin Winegard Edge and her team at Winegard Ford of Caledonia for putting this very successful event together.  Thank you Winegard Ford for once again supporting the community.

Family owned and operated, Winegard Motors opened for business at 140 Argyle St. S. back in September 1946. Twelve years and a few different auto manufacturers later, we chose Ford as the line of products that would carry the Winegard name. Since the fall of 1958, Winegard Motors has sold and serviced Ford, Meteor, Mercury and Lincoln (since 1978) vehicles for thousands of customers in and around our town. Kayware Event Design & Décor
My name is Kelsey Bazuin, and I am the owner of Kayware. I had an early start in the wedding industry at the age of 14 working at my dad’s wedding supply business in Stratford. For the next 6 years I outfitted couples with invitations and wedding décor to suit their budget & style and helped them realize their vision by personally decorating their venues. In 2009, starting off with only basic white linen and chair covers, I set out on my own to establish Kayware. As business started to grow I met my husband Mark and moved to Caledonia, where my business resides today. I am proud to say that Kayware now offers a huge range of products including basic and specialty table and chair coverings in over 50 colours, premium white folding chairs, and full event décor to transform any space. I enjoy transforming spaces no matter the style and Kayware will produce stunning results in any theme. Outdoor/country themed weddings are my specialty and so Kayware has become regarded as the go to decorator in the area for that style. Working one on one with couples to establish the perfect décor package for their day is what I love to do! I am committed to ensuring that each and every couple love the results so I decorate each job personally. Kayware takes bookings up to 2 years in advance and serves a wide area ranging from Stratford to Niagara. I’d love to hear from you and talk all about your big ideas. You can contact me at my new showroom (905-765-1970), on my cell phone (519-275-1424), by email at ([email protected]), or click on the "TEXT US" icon to the left and you'll be in touch with me instantly. Enjoy browsing the site and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you for choosing Kayware!

Victor's Cornerstone
The Founders Victor Walewski and his son Peter founded the restaurant in 1995 as a father and son team. Victor came to Canada on the Queen Mary in the 1950's and continue his trade in the culinary business. A classicly trained European chef, Mr. Walewski passed down his lifetime of experience to the next generation. Peter is currently the executive chef and operator of Victor's Cornerstone Restaurant. Our Location Caledonia is a small riverside community and former town located on the Grand River in Haldimand County, Ontario, Canada. Haldimand County is in the western part of the Niagara Peninsula, and had a population of over 45,000. Caledonia is located at the intersection of Highway 6 and Haldimand Highway 54 (within the town, these streets are called Argyle Street and Caithness Street respectively) on the Grand River. On Highway 6, the town is 10 km south of Hamilton and 10 km north of Hagersville. On Haldimand Highway 54, the town is 15 km east of Brantford, Ontario and 10 km west of Cayuga, Ontario. History Caledonia was once a small strip of land between Seneca and Oneida villages. The Grand River traveled through Caledonia dividing it into two sides, North and South. In 1834, Ranald McKinnon was hired by the Grand River Navigation company to build a dam in Seneca and a dam in Caledonia. Completed in 1840, the dams made water power available. Mills sprung up all over Seneca village, and five mills were built in Caledonia by 1850. One renamed Caledonia Mill is preserved but closed to visitors. Victor's Cornerstone 40 Argyle St. N.
