Midget Reps are Port Colborne Champs!
Submitted By Beth Wise on Thursday, November 29, 2018
Last weekend, our Midget Rep team traveled to Port Colborne to compete in the Teeder Kennedy Classic.

What a weekend it turned out to be!  The team went undefeated in 6 games to bring home the championship, outscoring their opponents 20-4.

While there were highlights all weekend, the semi-final game against Simcoe was the most exciting of the weekend.  Down 1-0 until late in the 3rd period, Caledonia managed to tie it up forcing overtime.  The first overtime period would bring 3 minutes of 4-on-4, but neither team could find the back of the net.  Next came 3 minutes of 3-on-3 but still no decisions were made, it was going to a shootout!  Through 5 shooters, Caledonia would bury 2 and Simcoe was shutout, sending Caledonia to the finals against the home-town favourites, Port Colborne.  Running on momentum from the exciting semi-final win, Caledonia would take home the championship with a 5-1 victory.

Thanks to all for a great weekend!
