Huntsville Tournament Silver Medalists
Congratulations to the PeeWee A/E team on their Silver Medal placing at last weekend’s tournament in Huntsville. The team started off the tournament with a very close 2-1 loss to the Pelham Panthers. The boys bounced back in their second game defeating their SC rivals from Simcoe by a score of 4-0. The team completed their round robin play by losing to a very tough team from Temiskaming by a score of 2-0.
The boys finished the round robin play in 4th place out of 7 teams. In a rematch of the previous day’s game, the Thunder defeated the Temiskaming Puck Hounds in the semi-finals with a very exciting 4-3 win in overtime. In the championship game, the Thunder were defeated by the host Huntsville team in a very hard fought game by a score of 3-0. Thunder goalie Jacob M was outstanding in all five games and was named the team MVP for the tournament. The entire team played extremely well and did a great job in representing Caledonia.
