On November 26 and December 10, 2016, the Atom Rep Thunder team got together on both the South and the North side of Caledonia to knock door to door collecting food, bottle and cash donations on behalf of Caledonia Minor Hockey and in support of the Caledonia Food Bank.
The team was extremely polite and very enthusiastic in their approach to our community and, as a result, their efforts were a huge success, raising a whopping $465.00 in cash and bottle donations as well as over 500 lbs of food donations for the food bank.
On December 14, 2016, the boys gathered in the Remax room at the HCCC to meet with two representatives of the Caledonia Food Bank to present them with a cheque for the funds and the food donations, to which the food bank was very grateful for. The boys have definitely assisted in making other people's Christmas this season, brighter!
Well done boys....you should all be very proud of yourselves for being selfless and doing your part in paying it forward back into the amazing community that we all reside in!
A huge thanks to the Sandig family for organizing this team effort and to all of the coaches and parents who took time out of their own busy holiday schedules to drive alongside these boys and to provide them with hot chocolate to warm up with.
