As you may
be aware, the province announced last week they will be removing the exemption
to show proof of vaccination for children 12-17 years old participating in
organized sport effective Monday, December 20.
Therefore, County staff will be required to check for proof of vaccination (2 doses + 14 days) and personal identification for all participants, including those previously exempt or under vaccine mandates from their governing bodies starting December 20
. This includes players, coaches, referees and hockey administration staff.
Please be sure this information is shared with everyone impacted, including your participant families, affiliate leagues and governing bodies as deemed necessary to ensure everyone attending (including opposing teams) are aware of this new provincial requirement.
