The Hornets off to a good start for 2016
Happy New Year to all Caledonia Hornets and their families and many faithful fans! Sunday, January 3, Caledonia Arena, saw the first match up of the New Year vs. the second place PW2. Caledonia Hornets finished off 2015 with a loss and a tie, but the start of 2016 proved they are back to their winning ways.
#5, Sean McNiven, was on fire in the first period, leading the Hornets with the first two goals, both unassisted! Kayden Miedema followed suit in the second period with a nice goal, following great passes from #12, Brent Baldwin, and #8, Mason Hill. The second period the Hornets remained hot with a goal from #13, Silas Johnson, followed by another goal from the stick of #8, Mason Hill, both unassisted. The final score, Hornets 5, PW2 0.
The team played a great game, wonderful defense, great passing, and another shut-out for goalie Mason Lalonde. Let's keep up the great team play, way to ring in the New Year boys !!!
