PrintCovid Screening and Procedure

Screening and contact tracing for Spectators

Screening and contact tracing for spectators, walking track participants and the general public coming into Haldimand County arenas must be done through the QR Code or online through the link on the Haldimand Count website.

The link to the website is: https://www.haldimandcounty.ca/arena-contact-tracing-form/ and the QR code is available at all arena entrances.

Screening and contact tracing for Coaching Staff and Players

Screening and contact tracing for coaching staff and players must be done by a team representative. Please use the screening sheet attached to this memo or a similar form. The Tournament Volunteer will have blank copies, but please try and come prepared with 5-6 copies of your prepopulated form. If you have a player arriving late a member of your team’s bench staff will have to remain at the entrance to complete the screening process. Please hand the screening sheet into the Tournament Volunteer.

Proof of Vaccination for Spectators

ALL Spectators to enter through the main entrance of each arena facility.

By provincial law, to enter any Haldimand County recreation or community centre, visitors must provide proof of vaccination as well as identification (e.g. driver’s license or health card). Proof of vaccination is two (2) doses of vaccine, with the second dose administered at least 14 days prior. Digital copy or photocopy of ID and vaccine status is acceptable. For youth under 18 and over the age of 12, we recommend them having a picture of their Health Card and Vaccine status on them for entry.

Once your Vaccine Verification has been completed by County Staff, you will receive a coloured wristband from a Tournament Volunteer – this will allow you re-entry into the facilities as many times as you like that day.  Each day has a different coloured wristband so you will need to show your Vaccine Verification once each day you attend the tournament.

Proof of Vaccination for Coaching Staff and Players

As coaching staff and players have previously provided their proof of vaccination to the OMHA in order to be rostered they will not need to show proof upon entry to the arenas.

ALL Teams will receive a set of blue wristbands in the Tournament Welcome Package for the players and staff. These wristbands must be worn all weekend.  If you need additional blue wristbands if they get damaged or taken off, please see a Tournament Volunteer for additional ones.

Masks must be worn at all times in the facility, except for players during game times, coaches must wear their masks on the bench during games.

Anyone found not wearing a mask will be asked to put one on, any refusal to wear a mask will be asked to leave and will not be permitted to re-enter the building for the duration of the tournament.

Please be patient with Tournament Volunteers and County Staff during entry.

All screening procedures are required as per Haldimand-Norfolk Public Health Unit and the Provincial Government.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this unprecedented time. We are excited to have hockey back in our arenas.  We have worked hard to put this tournament together and we all need to do our part to make it a great experience for all!
