Red Dragons finish Round Robin with Another Tie
The Red Dragons again kept the fans on the edge of their seats as they tied the pesky Glanbrook 7 team with a score of 1-1.
The lone goal (that counted) for the Dragons came from Aaron Oppertshauser. The Dragons had 2 "goals" called back - one for offside (that moving blue line is the devil sometimes....) and one for a "covered" puck in the Glanbrook crease that somehow made its way into the net. However, all's well that ends well, and the tie put the Dragons into a great position for semi-finals. It was a fantastic team effort once again, with excellent defensive help provided by Carter Nix and Alex Chmiel. The forwards kept the puck in Glanbrook's end most of the game, and the lone Glanbrook goal came from a shot at an unusual angle that took a weird bounce.
The Red Dragons are next in action on Thursday night, 6pm versus the Caledonia 3 team (yellow). This is the semi-finals, people, so bring your party hats! Go Dragons Go!
