Kings Finish Weekend with Exciting Win!
The Kings kept the new win streak alive with a win against PW1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Kings, fresh off a win on Saturday, looked to keep the win streak alive with a rematch of their early-season win against PW1.This game was fast-paced and exciting, with a lot of scoring from both teams. It took a while for the engines to get revving, with a lot of neutral-zone activity. Kings' scoring opened up with a sweet goal from Kyle Arnold (fed by Zach Archibald). Kyle followed that up with another great goal less than 3 minutes later, assisted by Ty MacDonald (it was a very uncharacteristically "routine" play by Ty Mac - the fans were left wanting more - at least a sprawling pass from his backside, or a dramatic forward flail.....). Nonetheless, the play was fantastic and the Kings' fans were roaring with glee. Or, it may have been an early start to the daily Christmas cheer....or in my case, the high one can only achieve with a slight overdose of cold meds......anyhoo, back to the game.

The game became a bit of a tennis match, back and forth, scoring on each side....the second period found the Kings in a scrum in front of the big PW1 goalie, showing their characteristic poking and prodding at the loose puck which ended with a pinball-style goal with a poke from Liam Rabbat, sending the bouncing puck to Brayden Pauls, who netted his 2nd of the season.  Midway through the third Kieran Lagan took matters into his own hands - obviously fueled by the nachos and cheese from his pre-game ritual - and deked past the entire PW1 team to score the fourth goal for the Kings, unassisted.

The game was tied late in the third period, when Liam Rabbat decided that it was time to pack up the tents and head for home, and he took off in a streaking blur of purple to net the game winner (unassisted) with just over a minute left in the game.

The Kings head into the Christmas break in 3rd place in the tough PeeWee LL division. What a turnaround by this team! It is very apparent that the late night coaches' meetings have paid off, and we can only hope for more 11:30am-or-later practices in the New Year......

I hope Santa can toss a thesaurus my way this year - I have run out of adjectives to use for Josh Cybulski, so I'll leave you all with this......"WOW"
