Kings Get Huge Win on Sunday Against Rival Ice Dogs
The Kings were finally able to shake the monkey off their backs and pull out a big win on Sunday. The playoff race is tight in PW "A" division, and every win adds a massive two points to the team's tally.

The game was tight and clean in the first period, and the teams ended the period in a 0-0 tie. The Ice Dogs scored quickly in the 2nd period but three minutes later, as the Kings crashed the net hard for those juicy rebounds, a flurry of sticks produced a Zach Archibald goal (assisted by Liam Rabbat and perhaps Kieran Lagan....sorry, the scoresheet recorded Brayden Pauls with the assist, which would be incredible since he would've assisted from the bench - he wouldn't be on the ice with Zach!).

Play remained fast and furious as the Kings were successful in neutralizing the Ice Dogs' top scorers. The game entered the 3rd period tied at 1-1 and the fans were desperately hoping to end the "tie" streak with this PW2 rival. Luckily, the Kings could feel the electricity in the air and fired themselves up for a dominant 3rd period performance. With the skill and finesse of a sniper, Dustin Hine sent a rocketing (?) blast from the point - obviously pulled that trick out of the bag lent to him by his Dad, Coach Chris - after receiving a pass from first Luke Pain and then Brayden Pauls. The shot trickled past the Ice Dogs netminder and the Kings leaped ahead 2-1. They were able to hold off the comeback attempt of the Ice Dogs, even with the extra man on the ice. The Kings emerged victorious and have regained their 2nd place standing in the "A" division, heading into the final stretch.

The Kings have a huge week coming up with games against Glanbrook, PW5 and Hagersville. Stay tuned for more thrilling game recaps! Go Kings!
