Kings Fall Short in First Game of 2015
The Kings couldn't shake the "turkey belly" and were dealt a 5-3 loss by the Caledonia PW5 team on Saturday morning.

The Kings fell behind early in the contest and were trailing 2-0 at the end of the first period. The Kings fired back in the 2nd period, with an unassisted goal from a beauty Brayden Pauls shot - like a sniper, he picked the top corner and brought the crowd to its feet. This was followed up shortly after by a digging scramble in front of the net where both Dylan Kay and Kieran Lagan poked away until finally Zach Archibald netted the goal. However, the Kings were still short at the end of the period and were trailing 4-2. Late in the third period Kieran Lagan fired a shot past the hot PW5 goaltender (fed by Ty Mac) which again brought the crowd to a roaring frenzy, and also brought the Kings to within one of a tie. However, mere seconds after pulling Josh Cybulski from net the PW5 team scored an empty-netter to put them ahead 5-3 with only 25 seconds to go.

The Kings had difficulty managing the big scoring forward from the PW5 team (if anyone caught his name can you please forward it along? Denis Rabbat is DESPERATE to figure out who this kid is....haha!).

The Kings will be shooting to get back on track with two games this weekend - Saturday morning vs. PW4 and Sunday evening vs. PW2. Stay tuned for more exciting game updates!
