Team Burgundee Clinch A Division Playoffs with Victory
Team Burgundee clinched a spot in the A division playoffs with an exciting 2-1 victory over Caledonia 4.
Team Burgundee struck first when Connor Dufour scored on a nice pass from Jordan Guetter mid way through the first period but Caledonia 4 answered back later in the period to make it 1-1 at the end of one. After a scoreless second period, Dufour scored his second of the game, which proved to be the winner, early in the third period with assists going to Charlie Cooper and Nathan May. Things were very tense near the end of the game when Team Burgundee took back to back penalties and had to kill off a 5-on-3 power play by Caledonia 4 but they were able to clear the zone over and over again with some great hustle and some heads up plays. Team Burgundee now travels to London next weekend to play in a 28 team tournament. Good luck boys!
