Red Dragons Lose Two Close Games
In hockey action this past weekend the Red Dragons were defeated in two very close contests.

On Saturday the Dragons lost by a score of 5-4 to Hagersville 11, with some heavy goal-scoring action occuring late in the 3rd period. First goal scored by Aaron Oppertshauser, with ensuing goals scored by Ethan Ferreira and Owen Clarke. Some mad scrambling to the bench by goalie Mason Lalonde (back and forth, back and forth) allowed an extra man on the ice, and Luke Pain netted the 4th goal for the Dragons, bringing us to a one-goal differential. Unfortunately, the Dragons could not net the tying goal, and we finished just short of the tie.

On Sunday, the Dragons lost a close contest to Cayuga 6, final score 2-1. Aaron Oppertshauser netted the tying goal in the 3rd period, and the Dragons played an excellent defensive game....until, with less than 50 seconds Cayuga 6 netted the game-winning goal. Great, late-game efforts from the entire team made these games very exciting for the huge Red Dragon following. Red Dragons next in action on Friday night at home versus Caledonia Atom 1. Game time is 6pm.
