Great Start to 2014
The Red Dragons started 2014 off well, with a 2-1 record, and head into the final few games of the regular season with great momentum for playoffs.

January 2 saw the Red Dragons beat the Yellow Caledonia Atom #3 team by a score of 2-1. Both goals were provided by Aaron Oppertshauser, one in record time (in fact, many parents weren't yet seated for the game when he scored!). A nice way to start 2014! A strong defensive effort and fantastic goaltending from Mason Lalonde sealed the victory.

January 4 proved a feisty contest between the quick and strong Cayuga 5 team and the visiting Red Dragons. The Red Dragons fell to a swift 3-0 deficit, but rallied through the 2nd and 3rd periods to pull out the victory, 4-3. Aaron Oppertshauser added another 2 goals to his stellar season, and Luke Pain (with a blistering point shot) and Adriano Coco (putting the puck top shelf on a breakaway) put this game away. A chippy game, but the Red Dragons fought hard to come back from a quick Cayuga attack. Go Dragons!

Finally, the Red Dragons met their match against Glanbrook 8. A quick goal from Glanbrook was answered almost immediately by Aaron Oppertshauser. Some fast hockey and quick goals from Glanbrook made the score 5-1, but Caledonia rallied back with two rapid goals from Andrew Dowdy and Owen Clarke. The scoring blast was stopped there, though, and the Red Dragons fell to Glanbrook 8, by a score of 7-3.

The Red Dragons are in action this Friday, Jan 10 in Caledonia versus Hagersville 10 (game time is 6pm), and then Saturday, Jan 11 in Caledonia versus Yellow Caledonia 3 (game time is 8:30am). Go Dragons!
