Jackets continue strong play in 6-5 win
The Caledonia Yellow Jackets continued to use strong passing and an aggressive fore-check to produce a 6-5 win over Cayuga.  Cayuga opened the scoring but less than a minute later Brenhyn Gavey tied it up with a nice goal assisted by Justin Anderson and Silas Johnson.

Cayuga then scored their second of the game but again the Jackets responded quickly on a goal by Noah Ferreira which was assisted by Peyton Comeau and the goalie, Rhys Wide. The Jackets then surged ahead in the second period with Peyton Comeau breaking in from the point, beating two defenders, and then firing a shot that went through the five hole of the Cayuga goaltender. Noah Ferreira and Isaak Fisher both got assists on the goal. Aaron Oppertshauser then grabbed a loose puck and deked the goalie out to give the Jackets a two goal lead. Ferreira and Fisher again collected assists on the goal. Cayuga scored a late goal to draw within one going into the third period. Early in the third period Noah Ferreira scored his second of the game on a nice low shot off the post and into the net with Oppertshauser and Fisher getting assists on the goal. The Jackets then opened up a 3 goal lead with Comeau ripping a slap shot from the point off the post and into the net for his second of the game. Gavey collected the only assist. However, Cayuga did not give up and upped their intensity scoring two late goals but they ran out of time and the Yellow Jacket hung on for the win. Next game is Thursday in Hagersville.
