Thunder and Edge Battle to 4-4 Tie
The Embro Edge came to Caledonia looking for revenge for their loss last Friday but in the end they scored late to settle for a tie.

The Edge scored first less than three minutes into the game but the Thunder battled back tying it up a couple of minutes later on a beautiful backhand by Tristan Walkinshaw that beat the Edge goalie. Macgregor Lawrence and Remy Hetram collected assists on the goal. The Edge again took the lead a couple of minutes later but the Thunder responded back right away on a goal by Brenhyn Gavey when he corralled a missed shot by Aaron Oppertshauser and put it into the opposing goal. Corey Shelton also got an assist. There was no scoring in the second period but the Thunder scored early in the third when Todd Dekoninck passed the puck from behind the net to Brady Simington who fired it through the five hole. Kyle Arnold also picked up an assist. This time it was Embro's turn to answer back with a blast just inside the blue line that went top corner on goalie Lucas dos Santos. Both teams continued to create good scoring opportunities but struggled to hit the net or beat the goalie. With just over three minutes left, Brenhyn Gavey made a beautiful pass to Corey Shelton in front of the goal who one-timed it into the net and the Thunder again took the lead. But with less than a minute left, the puck took a bad bounce and went straight to an unguarded Edge player in front of the net and he shot it into the open net to tie the game. The final score was 4-4. Player of the game went to Eric Thompson for all his good positioning and hard work in the defensive end.
