Thunder Clinch First Place
The Caledonia Thunder finished the southern counties playoff round robin in first place.
Their record of 8 wins, 2 ties and 2 losses (18 points) was good enough to finish one point ahead of Simcoe, Plattsville, and possibly Ayr, who has one game left to play and currently has 15 points. The Thunder will now host a semi-final game shortly after March break but their opponent is still left to be determined. The team has continued to show good improvement in their skills and team play and all three forward lines have shown lately that they have the ability to score when they work hard and pass well. The defense also continues to shine and showed great improvement in their hustle and puck movement during their recent 5-4 loss to a bantam local league team in an exhibition game.
